Blog meet 3

Assalamualaikum Warrahmatullahi Wabarokatuh..

Hi everyone, how are you?  Hope everything will be fine.  Welcome again on my blog.  This is my third blog.  Our lesson in this English For Journalism course is on September 14, 2021, but for other reasons, I just had time to write my story on the blog today.  Oh yes, I want to thank those who have read the stories on my blog, I hope you can benefit from it.

Move on to the topic of discussion.  At the time of the lecture at that time there was actually no virtual meeting, because we were only given a few tasks that we had to do in sham-ok.

The assignments given are in the form of videos, audio and material that we have to watch, listen to and read in order to answer the quiz questions. First assignment about American political cartoonist. In the video it is told that there are many changes in the publishing industry. In the past political cartoons appeared as black and white images in newspapers but now they appear in many colors. In the video also talked about Syrian families from Syria who came to the United States.

The next topic about simple past and past progressive and sometimes called the past continuous and learn about structure and meaning of both tenses.

Simple past tense is a tense sentence/actions that is used to express events that occurred in the past and have ended in the past. Meanwhile The past progressive or what is known as the past continuous is a tense or actions that is used to talk about an activity that was taking place at a certain moment in the past. Most verbs can be put in the past simply by adding ed or just d to the end of the verb. For example : played.

Similar to the present progressive, the past progressive is formed with either was/were verb+ing. For example while I was watching the video about the history of journalism.

Next topic is Principle of journalism:

Define the idea of principles and introduce the 10 of principles of journalism

A principle is a fundamental really important truth so the principle of journalism are things that journalists have to remember all the time.

There are 10 fundamentals of journalism, namely:

1. Verification

2. Objectivity

3. Originality

4. Completeness

5. Transparency

6. Fairness

7. Restraint

8. Humanity

9. Accountability

10. Empowerment.

Ok guys, I think that's all enough, for more and less, you can also add something in the comments column, thank you.

Wassalamualaikum Warrahmatullahi Wabarokatuh..
